Terms of Service
Last updated: June 28, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Scrivanta ("Scrivanta", "we", "us") at scrivanta.com and our AI-powered academic publishing tools (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. The Service is intended for researchers, scholars, students, and academic professionals.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
3. Plans and Credits
The Service offers a free plan that includes a fixed allowance of credits per month. Each tool run consumes credits. When your allowance is exhausted, you must wait for the next cycle or upgrade to a paid plan, where available. Credits have no monetary value and are non-transferable.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or infringing purposes.
- Submit content you do not have the right to use.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or overload the Service.
- Resell or redistribute the Service without our written permission.
- Use the Service to generate content that violates academic integrity policies.
5. AI-Generated Output
Scrivanta produces drafts and suggestions using AI. Output may contain inaccuracies and must be reviewed, verified, and edited by you before use. You are solely responsible for ensuring that any submitted work complies with the integrity, authorship, and disclosure requirements of your institution and target journals. Scrivanta is a writing aid, not a substitute for your own scholarship.
6. Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of the content you input. Subject to these Terms, you own the output you generate. Scrivanta and its software, branding, and design remain our property and may not be copied or used without permission.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that output will be accurate or suitable for publication.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scrivanta will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, reputation, or academic opportunity arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Contact
